Alliance for Albuquerque Animals
The Alliance for Albuquerque Animals works to enhance the lives of homeless animals in our city’s shelters. We improve animals’ chances for adoption, and help reduce the number of animals admitted to Albuquerque shelters.
CARMA
CARMA is a New Mexico non-profit, all volunteer, foster care-based corporation aimed at addressing the needs of abandoned, abused, and neglected companion animals (cats and dogs). CARMA’s mission is to find loving homes for dogs and cats. We work closely with local Animal Control organizations, particularly in Corrales, to intercept animals before they are euthanized. We emphasize local involvement, but reach out to all communities to assist animals and help with safe and appropriate placement.
New Mexico Animal Friends
A non-profit, our mission is to rescue homeless dogs and cats and provide temporary quality care for them in foster homes until permanent adoptive homes can be found. We promote animal welfare through educational efforts and other services and reduce overpopulation in companion animals and feral cats through spay-neuter services.
People’s Anti-Cruelty Association (PACA) and Albuquerque Animal Rescue (AAR)
PACA/AAR is the oldest no-kill animal rescue group in New Mexico. Our focus is abandoned, abused cats and dogs. We provide a safe haven until an adoptive home is found. Our foster-care program gives us the opportunity to assess their personalities and specific needs which enables us to place the animal in the “right” adoptive home. We also provide spay/neuter and any medical care including major surgery.
